WELCOME VISITORS!

We are glad you've found us!

So you've discovered the Unitarian Universalists in our area online! Many in the All Souls congregation attended for the first time when a friend invited us, or we grew up in this church.

But now, more and more individuals are finding UU churches through online searches. Some are familiar with "Unitarians" from another connection, but didn't know there's a UU congregation right here in Sioux Falls. Some have been looking for a church or religious community that's diverse and open-minded. Some have left a church which didn't "feel right" anymore, and now they're looking for something missing in their lives—an ethical community of like-minded folks, perhaps.

We hold services at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays in our new church home on Cliff Avenue at the corner of 30th Street, across from Woodlawn. We also have Sunday School and activities for children, and child care is available for pre-schoolers.

Faith is a "work in progress" with us. We ask a lot of questions at All Souls—the "big questions" in life come up a lot! We'd love to hear your questions, and your answers. All Souls Church was founded in Sioux Falls by the Rev. Eliza Tupper Wilkes, before South Dakota was a state. We have maintained a small, but enduring presence ever since, as a fellowship, and then a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association. (Visit UUA online, here.) We now have about 70 adult members, some with families, and we range in age from our teens to our nineties. Our congregation is part of the regional Prairie Star District of the UUA. Our Principles

There are seven principles which Unitarian Universalist congregations affirm and promote:

• The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
• Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
• Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
• A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
• The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
• The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
• Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

Unitarian Universalism (UU) draws from many sources:

• Direct experience of that transcending mystery and wonder, affirmed in all cultures, which moves us to a renewal of the spirit and an openness to the forces which create and uphold life;
